Full removal including mastic. Standard basement: $1,500–$5,000.
Floor Tile Encapsulation
$1–$3/sq ft
Intact tile, no subfloor access needed. Saves $1,500–$4,000 vs. removal.
Popcorn Ceiling Removal
$3–$7/sq ft
Per square foot of ceiling area. Typical room: $800–$2,500.
Pipe Insulation Removal
$15–$35/linear ft
Corrugated paper wrap, air cell, block insulation. MIOSHA Class I.
Duct Wrap Removal
$20–$45/linear ft
HVAC duct insulation. Requires full containment.
Vermiculite Attic Removal

Depends on depth and square footage. ZAI Trust may reimburse up to 55%.
Asbestos Siding Removal

If your home has Zonolite-brand vermiculite attic insulation, the ZAI Trust may reimburse up to 55% of removal costs — capped at approximately $4,935. The Trust became active in 2014 and is currently accepting claims.

Why is there a range instead of a fixed price?

The range reflects real project variability — tile condition, mastic presence, accessibility, and square footage all affect cost. Every quote we issue is written and fixed for your specific project. The range gives you a planning number; the quote gives you the actual number.

What's included in the price?

Everything: EGLE notification and fee, containment, negative pressure, labor, materials, licensed waste disposal, and clearance air monitoring. The quote number is the invoice number.

Does the price include the EGLE notification fee?

Yes. Michigan's April 2025 EGLE change made per-notification fees mandatory. We include the EGLE fee in every abatement quote so there are no surprises at billing.

Is there a minimum project cost?

For abatement projects, our minimum is typically $1,500–$2,000 due to the fixed costs of containment, EGLE notification, and clearance monitoring. Inspections start at $350.

Can I get ZAI Trust reimbursement for vermiculite removal?

Yes, if your home has Zonolite-brand vermiculite. The ZAI Trust reimburses up to 55% of removal costs, capped at approximately $4,935. We document every vermiculite project to support a successful claim.
